Joe Brown Company, Inc. utilizes a fuel surcharge based upon the National Average Price (NAP) for fuel published weekly by the US Department of Energy (click for link to DOE website). The fuel surcharge will be effective when the NAP exceeds $4.000 * per gallon. This method closely links fuel surcharges to current fuel prices and adjusts quickly to changes up or down in fuel prices.
The JBC fuel surcharge will become applicable on the Tuesday following the Monday posting of the NAP by the DOE.
The JBC fuel surcharge will be applied to freight revenues.

Y= BASELINE PRICE ($4.000) * Contracts quoted earlier at a lower base will remain in effect until job is terminated
